Every iPhone we track, with official and grey market prices side by side. The gap here is wider than any other brand — the reason is explained below.
iPhone prices in Bangladesh run from ৳1,14,999 for the iPhone 15 up to ৳2,49,999 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max through official channels. Grey market units sell for 30–45% less, the widest gap of any brand in this market. Apple operates no retail or service locations in Bangladesh, so all repairs go through third-party shops regardless of where you buy.
No phones match those filters. Try widening the price range.
On a Galaxy A16 the official-to-grey gap is about ৳5,000. On the iPhone 16 Pro Max it is ৳1,07,000. Same mechanism, different scale.
Import duty and VAT are charged as a percentage of declared value. The more expensive the handset, the more the tax adds in absolute terms. Apple sits at the top of the price range in every market, so Bangladesh is where that arithmetic hits hardest.
The result is that Apple’s official channel here serves relatively few buyers, and most iPhones in the country arrived through the grey market.
Apple does not operate retail stores or service centres in Bangladesh. There is no Apple Store in Dhaka, and no Apple-run repair facility anywhere in the country.
This changes the official-versus-grey calculation in a way it does not for Samsung or Xiaomi. When you pay the Samsung premium you get access to a nationwide authorised service network. When you pay the Apple premium you get a warranty administered by the local distributor and a BTRC-registered IMEI — but your repairs still go to a third-party shop, exactly like the grey buyer’s.
That is not an argument for buying grey. It is an argument for understanding precisely what the extra money buys before you spend it.
On used units, add battery health. Open Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health. Below 85% maximum capacity, budget ৳7,000 to ৳12,000 for a replacement or negotiate.
The iPhone 15 cannot run Apple Intelligence. Its A16 Bionic chip lacks the memory and neural engine capacity, and Apple has confirmed it never will.
Every other phone on this page can — including the iPhone 15 Pro, released the same day with a different chip.
If you are buying a phone to keep for four or five years, that line is worth knowing about before you cross it in the wrong direction.
Video recording remains ahead of anything on Android at comparable money, and software support runs six to seven years, longer than any Android maker offers.
Against that: the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 both use 60Hz displays, while a ৳26,000 Redmi Note 14 runs at 120Hz. Neither standard model has a telephoto lens. And no iPhone has ever taken a memory card, so storage is fixed at purchase.
Among the models we track, the iPhone 15 at ৳1,14,999 official or around ৳75,999 on the grey market.
Import duty and VAT are charged as a percentage of value, so on expensive handsets the tax adds a very large absolute amount. Grey imports skip it, along with the local warranty and BTRC registration.
No. Apple operates no retail or service locations in the country. All repairs go through third-party shops regardless of where the phone was purchased.
The iPhone 15 Pro and every iPhone from the 16 onward. The standard iPhone 15 does not and never will, because its A16 chip lacks the required capacity.
Only the Pro models. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have ProMotion at 120Hz; the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 are limited to 60Hz.
