Forty-five thousand taka apart, for what looks like the same phone. It may not be — and the difference is not the warranty. Read the chipset section before you decide.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 costs ৳1,28,499 in Bangladesh for the 12GB/256GB variant with official Samsung warranty. Grey market units of the same configuration sell from around ৳83,499. It launched officially here on 9 March 2026 with a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display, 7 years of Android updates, and — depending on where the unit came from — one of two different processors.
| Variant | Official | Unofficial |
|---|---|---|
| 12GB + 256GB | ৳1,28,499 | ৳83,499 |
| 12GB + 512GB | ৳1,45,999 | ৳96,000 |
Only two configurations exist, both with 12GB of RAM, and there is no microSD slot on any Galaxy S. The 512GB step costs roughly ৳17,500 officially. For most people 256GB is enough; if you shoot 8K video regularly, it is not, and there is no way to fix that later.
This is the part worth slowing down for, and almost no listing in Bangladesh mentions it.
Samsung builds the Galaxy S26 with two different processors. Units sold in the United States and China use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on a 3nm process. Everywhere else — including the official Bangladeshi stock — gets Samsung's own Exynos 2600, built on 2nm with a deca-core layout and Xclipse 960 graphics.
Both are fast. The Exynos 2600 is genuinely competitive this generation, which has not always been true of Samsung's own silicon. But they are not identical: sustained gaming performance, thermal behaviour and battery efficiency all differ, and enthusiast opinion generally still favours the Snapdragon.
Here is why it matters to you specifically. A grey import could be a unit intended for any market. If a seller has sourced US stock you may end up with the Snapdragon version; if the unit came through Dubai or India you will get the Exynos. Ask which one, and check the model number on the box before paying. A shop that cannot tell you is a shop guessing.
Forty-five thousand taka is not a discount. It is the price of a decent mid-range phone, sitting on the table as the difference between two identical-looking boxes.
What the official price buys: a Samsung Bangladesh warranty honoured at any authorised centre, BTRC-registered IMEI, and Samsung's regular launch promotions. Excel eStore and Samsung's own channel run cashback, exchange bonuses and no-cost EMI on this model fairly often, and those offers can pull several thousand taka off the sticker. Ask before you pay full price.
What going grey costs you: all of the above, plus the chipset uncertainty above, plus a repair bill that could reach ৳25,000 for a display on a phone in this class.
My read on this one differs from the Galaxy A57, where I thought the grey route was defensible. Here the gap is larger in absolute terms but the phone is also far more expensive to repair, and you are gambling on which processor arrives. If ৳1,28,499 is out of reach, the honest answer is that this phone is out of reach — not that you should buy it without a warranty.

Samsung added 300mAh over the Galaxy S25 and left charging at 25W, which is slow for a flagship in 2026 — rivals are running 60W and above. The 2nm Exynos is efficient enough that a normal day is comfortable. A day with navigation, hotspot and an hour of gaming is not. If all-day battery matters more to you than size and speed, the larger S26 Plus is the better buy despite costing more.
Gadget & Gear, Excel eStore, Star Tech and Samsung's own showrooms carry official units. At ৳1,28,499 with no-cost EMI across twelve months that is roughly ৳10,700 a month. Launch and festival offers on this model have been frequent, so check for exchange bonus and bank cashback before committing.
Grey stock circulates through Sumash Tech, Rio International and Bashundhara City. If you go that way, confirm the model number and chipset in writing, verify the IMEI with BTRC, and open the seal in front of the seller.
৳1,28,499 official for 12GB/256GB. Grey market units of the same configuration start around ৳83,499.
Official Bangladeshi units use the Exynos 2600 built on a 2nm process. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 units are sold in the US and China, so grey imports may carry either chip.
