Only ৳4,500 between the two columns — the narrowest gap of any phone we list. That makes the usual official-versus-grey argument unusually easy to settle.
The Redmi Note 15 5G costs ৳36,999 in Bangladesh for the 8GB/256GB variant with official warranty. Grey market units of the same configuration sell for around ৳32,499. It runs the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, carries a 108MP main camera with optical stabilisation, and packs a 5520mAh silicon-carbon battery into a 7.35mm body.
| Variant | Official | Unofficial |
|---|---|---|
| 8GB + 256GB | ৳36,999 | ৳32,499 |
One configuration, one decision. And the decision is straightforward: ৳4,500 is not enough to walk away from a Xiaomi Bangladesh warranty on a phone this cheap. On the Galaxy A57 the gap runs to ৳29,000 and the argument is genuinely hard. Here it is not. Pay the difference.
Xiaomi put a Samsung ISOCELL HM9 sensor in here, co-developed with Xiaomi, at 1/1.67 inches with f/1.76 and optical stabilisation. At ৳37,000 that combination is not normal.
What OIS actually buys you: usable photos after sunset without a tripod, and video that does not lurch when you walk. Most phones at this price stabilise in software, which crops the frame and smears detail. The physical stabilisation here does neither. There is 3x in-sensor zoom too, which crops from the 108MP frame rather than upscaling — so it stays sharp in daylight and falls apart at night, as you would expect.
The 8MP ultrawide is ordinary. Use it for group shots and buildings, not for anything you care about.
This is the part no listing in Bangladesh mentions, and it is the one real compromise Xiaomi made.
The Redmi Note 15 5G ships with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. In a phone released at the end of 2025, that is behind. Rivals at this money run Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. If your home router is Wi-Fi 6 you will not get those speeds. If you use recent wireless earbuds, you may not get the newest codecs or the lowest latency.
The SIM tray is hybrid as well. You get two nano SIMs, or one SIM and a microSD card — never all three. On a 256GB phone that matters less than it would otherwise, but it is worth knowing before you plan around it.
Neither issue ruins the phone. Both are things you would rather find out now than three weeks after buying.
Xiaomi Bangladesh has a real service network, with authorised centres in Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna and several district towns. An official unit gets you a one-year warranty there plus a BTRC-registered IMEI.
The grey saving is ৳4,500 — roughly the cost of a single screen replacement on this phone. You are not buying much freedom with that money, and you are giving up a year of cover on a device you will probably keep for four. Take the official set and stop thinking about it.

Those two numbers should not sit together. A 5500mAh cell in a body this thin is possible because Xiaomi used silicon-carbon chemistry rather than standard lithium-ion, which packs more capacity into the same volume. The trade-off is cost, which is why it usually appears on more expensive phones. Xiaomi also rates it for 1600 charge cycles at 80% health — roughly five years of daily charging before the battery becomes a problem. For a phone in this bracket that is a genuinely long horizon.
Xiaomi Bangladesh showrooms, Star Tech, Gadget & Gear and Pickaboo carry official units. At ৳36,999 on 0% EMI over twelve months that is roughly ৳3,100 a month.
Grey stock turns up at Bashundhara City and through online sellers. Given the gap is only ৳4,500, the case for buying grey here is weak — but if you do, check the IMEI against BTRC before paying.
৳36,999 official for 8GB/256GB. Grey market units sell for around ৳32,499.
The global retail box ships without a power adapter in most markets. Confirm with your retailer, and budget for a 45W PD charger if one is not included.
Yes. The 108MP main camera has optical image stabilisation, which is uncommon at this price.
Yes, but through a hybrid slot. You can use two SIM cards or one SIM plus a microSD card, not all three.
Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.1, which is behind several rivals in this price range.
